III International Tourism Conference “Daugavpils – 740. New Identity of the City” City news
In April 24th Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center will open doors for the participants of III International Tourism Conference to introduce tourism professional the new marketing concept, a variety of tourism opportunities, to promote cooperation between Latvian and foreign tourism professionals. More than 150 participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus and Russia have already applied for the conference, including the existing specialists of tourism field and the young specialists, who have acquired knowledge of the tourism fields.
The conference participant will have an opportunity to get acquainted with original works of the great, world-famous abstract expressionist Mark Rothko and also get acquainted with new seasonal exhibitions devoted to second birthday of the Art Centre, to participate at the great opening of the restored 1st Coast Lunette of Daugavpils Fortress, as well as to attend the brilliant dance performance at Daugavpils theatre. During the III International Daugavpils Tourism conference US “National Geographic” journalist Annie Fitzsimmons will introduce the trends of global tourism market in the regional context, conference participants will presented the idea of Daugavpils "national dish" and Daugavpils future science centre "Blue Wonders". Also the winners of the competition "Daugavpils best hotel 2014" will be awarded.
