Santa Claus invited the best students to the Centre of Latvian Culture City news

On the 27th of December Latvian Centre of Culture held the Christmas tree for the best students among city schools. Before meeting with Santa Claus, children watched a holiday concert and a performance of Latvian Cultural Centre collectives.

The students were greeted by Daugavpils City Council ChairpersonŽannaKulakova, her first Vice-chairman VitālijsAzarevičsand Vice-chairperson LīvijaJankovska.

Daugavpils City Council ChairpersonŽannaKulakova emphasized that children and young people are the future of Daugavpils and the country's, so it is particularly important to make  this future educated, inquisitive, active and interested in the city's development. Mrs. Kulakova expressed her gratitude to the students for their achievements, their success, because they promote the name of Daugavpils.

Daugavpils City Council first Vice-chairman VitālijsAzarevičsexpressed satisfaction over the fact, that the city has found a new tradition which will definitely consolidate, because the today festival has already been attended by a lot of children, in other words such festivals are needed. Mr. Azarevičs believes that these children deserve a festival, because they been working hard, studying and participating in contests and competitions.

After the festive concert everyone met Santa Claus, played fun games, and of course, got their gifts.
