On the 12th of December Social Affair Department opened a charity exhibition-fair at Daugavpils City Council. City news

The exhibition presents numerous souvenirs, original and useful household items, and jewelry from beads, fabrics, and pieces of needlework. All of these remarkable works are made by hands of Day center clients of social care and rehabilitation center "World of opportunities", the orphans of shelter "Priedīte".

The exhibition was opened by Daugavpils City Council Vice-Chairperson Livija Jankovska, who emphasized the importance and relevance of the event. "It's a wonderful, very beautiful tradition, which helps to create a Christmas mood and to remember the good action of charity" – said Livija Jankovska.

Indeed the exhibition has many things to please the eye with; there are many things to buy as Christmas gifts to family and friends. Prices here do not bite, because the most creative works by young and adult customers of  Social Affair Department were given for donations. The collected funds will be spent on the purchase of materials for further creativity. After the City Council, this fair will move to other parts of the city. Most items can be purchased onCentral Squareof the city, at the Dwarfs Lodge, where for them is prepared a separate trading stand. Exhibition in Daugavpils City Council will last for 2 days.
