Currently 4 projects and 7 objects are under reconstruction.

Head of communal Housing Aivars Pudans informed that at present the reconstruction works are at 7 sites, combined into 4 large projects.

The top asphalt layer had been laid onA.Pumpura Streetand now the improvement works take place. The top asphalt layer is laid onCietoksna Streetbetween Vienibas andKandavas street. On a stage from Kandavas toParades streetflinders’ layer is being laid. This week, if the weather conditions allow, asphalt will be laid.

On the section fromValkas streetto Varshavas (project A-13) the bottom layer of asphalt is being laid. Until October 31 it is planned to open this interval to motorized traffic.

The second stage involves the reconstruction of transport hub onVišķu Street, where the work is in a full swing, and the reconstruction of theVidzemes Street, where the work has just begun.Vidzemes Streetare held at night in order not disturb the movement of buses, as other detour for public transport.Cesu streetcan be useds an alternative to motorized traffic, cover of the street that is currently improving.

Large reconstruction works are in the street of Ciekotšņa.

The next year a work on three projects is planned. Reconstruction of Daugava street between the two bridges and the construction of a pedestrian road. Reconstruction of streets Varšavas and Liepajas. Reconstruction of street Komunala, which also includes an accomplishment ofRainisaPark.
