On 19 February, winners of the Kilogram of Culture 2021 Award by Latvia’s public media were announced, highlighting last year’s standout achievements in the field of culture across nine nominations. The Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre earned one of the prizes as “Best Place for Culture 2021”.

From January 28 to March 5, 2022, the exhibition “Remember – ReAct. On 16 January, the XIV International Festival of Sacred Music "Silver Bells", which took place online for three days on Youtube channel "Latvian Contests", has ended.
Within the Festival, a competition for vocal ensembles, choirs and, for the first time, young choir conductors, professional choirs and virtual ensembles took place. In total 150 competitors from 18 countries took part in the festival.

8 November through 31 December 2021, the Ceramic Association of Latvia offers the public its latest exhibition, “Talk to Me!”, available at the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre courtyard.
From 3 November, ceramic artist Lilija Zeiļa offers her latest solo show, “Happenstance – Natural Order”, at the glass exhibition space of the 4METRES Gallery in Daugavpils Fortress, 8 Hospitāļa Street.
A brand and logo have been developed for the Daugavpils Innovation Centre. At the basis of the logo there is a sphere. The main value of the brand is inclusion – in nature, science, society, relationships and even at the level of personality dimensions.
